Treemarks is designed to stay out of your way and off your battery.
When paused, Treemarks uses zero battery. All background observers and scheduled work are completely disabled — no wakeups, no polling, no CPU usage. When active but idle, the app polls every 5 minutes instead of continuously. New photos are detected instantly via the system's media observer.
Uploads stream directly from disk to the network in 64 KB chunks. The app never loads an entire file into memory, even for multi-gigabyte videos. Memory usage during upload is bounded at a few hundred kilobytes regardless of file size.
Three modes let you control when the app uploads in the background:
Choose to upload over any network, WiFi only, or WiFi excluding hotspots. The app respects your preference and waits for the right connection without draining battery or data plan in the meantime.
